It’s release day and we’ve got the final book in The Play Caller Series! Honestly, it’s hard for me to believe but I’m so excited for everyone to meet Brooks and Lia.

What’s my favorite part about the book?
This is one of the most common questions I get, and for this one… it’s pretty easy. There are two things that are tied… the autoimmune/chronic illness rep and Rocky. The short version for my chronic illness is a Covid infection threw me headfirst into more than one autoimmune disorder. I currently struggle with severe plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and there’s a few things that could show up later in my life. It’s so hard. It creeps around like the thing you almost forget about until it’s running you over like a truck. I’m proud of the way I was able to represent this experience and help readers feel seen.
Next, sweet, sweet Rocky. Here’s a TW for pet loss (in real life, not in the book). I had a Rocky… the runt of an english bulldog litter. He was so vocal… always chattering and making these bulldog noises. He was obsessed with snuggling, was never happier than if he was in your lap. In January of 2022, Rocky passed away from a quick cancer battle… he just turned five. The fact that I got to write Rocky in a way that keeps him with me forever? Top tier.
Thank you for everything. For being part of this newsletter. For doing what you can to supporting a chronically ill, neurodivergent indie author… like myself.
